The image is one thing and the human being is another. It's very hard to live up to an image.
Talent is being able to sell what you're feeling.
Take care of the fans and they will sure as hell take care of you.
Truth is like the sun. You can shut it out for a time, but it ain't goin' away.
Hollywood had lost sight of the basics. They're a lot of fancy talkers who like to pigeonhole you.
I believe in the Bible. I believe that all good things come from God. I don't believe I'd sing the way I do if God hadn't wanted me to.
We do two shows a night for five weeks. A lot of times we'll go upstairs and sing until daylight... gospel songs. We grew up with it. It more or less puts
your mind at ease. It does mine. Gospel music is the purest thing there is on this earth.
There is nothing more notable in Socrates than that he found time, when he was an old man, to learn music and dancing and thought it time well spent.
You only pass through this life once; you don't come back for an encore.

When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was the hero of the comic book. I saw movies, and I was the hero in the
movie. So every dream I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times...I learned very early in life that, 'Without a song, the day would never end; without a
song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend -- without a song.' So I keep singing a song. Goodnight. Thank you.

"If I could reach up and hold a star
for every time you've made me smile,
the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand."

In everyone's life, at sometime, our inner fire goes out. If we are lucky, it is burst back into
flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the human spirit.

and renew a right spirit within me. Ps. 51:10
CLAY IS A DADDY!
WELCOME TO OUR WORLD, PARKER!
I made the big move from MD to
the SUNSHINE STATE in 1999. I have one terrific daughter (Sarah), two spoiled kitties (Rusty & Grace), and wonderful pastors (Wiley and Jeana Tomlinson) at
my church, New Covenant Ministries. Soon, hopefully in 2009, I will have a wonderful
son-in-law from France (Steve).
(Update: My beloved companion of 15
years, Rusty, had a stroke and was put to sleep 8/20/09. I was with him to the end.)
My hobbies are communicating with family and friends, playing games & quizzes, watching "One Life to
Live", anything Elvis, and anything Clay.
My philosophy is that you need to learn:
how to give,
how to receive,
how to have peace in any circumstance,
how to love and respect yourself so that you can love and respect others.
I'm a Claymate. That's a devoted fan of Clay Aiken.
I'm one of the quiet ones - no screams from this one. I 'discovered' him in 2003. Clay gets better with every song, every TV appearance, every
tour, every UNICEF trip, and every appearance in SPAMALOT. To quote Jeff Foxworthy's words to Clay at the end of 'Are You Smarter Than A Fifth
Grader?', "You're a quality human being and a man of character." Clay was able to overcome the obstacles in his life, and God set him on the
path to stardom. He's still an overcomer ("What doesn't kill you makes you stronger") and still trusts in Divine Guidance. My wish is to meet
Clay. I did get a good handshake after his 2006 Christmas concert in Jacksonville, Florida.

CLAY RETURNED 9/19/08 - 1/04/09.
SPAMALOT closed 1/11/09.
